The THT family together

The THT Family Credit

For ten years, you helped us grow our table.
This is our way of saying thank you.

For almost ten years, The Hungry Tourist has grown in a very unusual way. We never had a sales team, never bought our way into people’s lives, and never tried to convince strangers to join us. Instead, something much nicer happened: you invited the people you cared about. Your friends, your family, your partners, sometimes even your parents.

You trusted us with the people who mattered most. That is the greatest compliment you could ever give us. And we realized something: we never really thanked you for it. So we would like to start.

What is the THT Family Credit?

The THT Family Credit is simple. When someone you bring joins their first Hungry Tourist journey, we thank both of you: you receive US$1,000 in THT Family Credit toward a future journey, and your friend receives US$500 off their first Hungry Tourist journey.

It is not a referral program. It is a thank you for helping the table grow in the right way.

Hungry Tourists together

How it works

1

Bring someone who belongs at the table

Tell them about The Hungry Tourist in your own way.

2

They mention your name

When they fill out the inquiry form, they must write your name in the "How did you hear about THT?" field.

3

They join their first journey

Once they pay the required non-refundable deposit, the Family Credit is issued.

4

You use the credit

If you join the same journey with the new guest, the US$1,000 credit is deducted from your balance for that very tour. If not, it remains available for a future THT journey.

A few questions you might have

Who can receive the THT Family Credit?
Anyone who has previously joined at least one Hungry Tourist journey.
Who can I bring?
Anyone joining their first Hungry Tourist journey.
What do we both receive?
You receive US$1,000 in THT Family Credit. Your friend receives US$500 off their first Hungry Tourist journey.
How do we make sure I receive the credit?
When your friend fills out the inquiry form, they simply need to mention your name in the "How did you hear about THT?" field. For example: "Cristina Ussia told me about THT" or "John Smith invited me."
What if they forget to mention my name?
Please remind them before they submit the form. If your name does not appear on the inquiry form, we may not know who introduced them, and we may not be able to issue the Family Credit.
What if I register together with someone I’m bringing?
No problem.

If you register together and your party includes someone joining The Hungry Tourist for the first time, you’ll automatically receive the Family Credit for them.

In that case, there’s no need for them to mention your name in the inquiry form, we already know you’re travelling together.
When is the credit issued?
After your friend has paid the required non-refundable deposit for their first THT journey.
Can I use the credit on the same tour my friend joins?
Yes. If you join the same journey with the person you introduced, your US$1,000 Family Credit will be deducted from your balance for that same tour.
What if I am not joining that tour?
Then the credit stays on your THT account and can be used toward a future journey, within the 36-month validity period.
Is there a limit?
No. Bring one wonderful person or twenty. We will be grateful every time.
How long is the credit valid?
For 36 months from the date it is issued.
Can I transfer my credit to someone else?
No. Family Credit is personal and can be used toward your own future THT journeys.
Why are you doing this?
For almost ten years, The Hungry Tourist has grown because guests introduced us to the people they care about most. This is simply our way of saying thank you.
The table, after dinner

The Hungry Tourist has never grown because we found more customers. It has grown because you invited the people you cared about to sit at our table.

That means more to us than we can properly say. Thank you. We hope this is only the beginning.
