Una Gran Fiesta Reunion II

Some journeys are about discovering new places.

Una Gran Fiesta is about coming back to the people who made us fall in love with those places in the first place.

The first Una Gran Fiesta wasn’t planned as a tradition. It was simply an excuse to gather some of our favorite chefs and some of our favorite people around a few unforgettable tables. Somewhere along the way, it became something much bigger.

Guests became friends.

Chefs became part of the family.

Nobody wanted it to end.

So we’re doing it again.

Not because the restaurants are extraordinary.

But because of the people sitting around them.

The Journey

We meet in Copenhagen before crossing the Øresund Bridge into southern Sweden, where Daniel Berlin welcomes us to Vyn, his beautiful sanctuary overlooking the Baltic Sea.

Our reunion begins with a surprise lunch in Daniel’s greenhouse before we settle into the hotel and prepare for a very special dinner. Forget the regular tasting menu. Daniel has something completely different in mind for us.

The following morning, our luxury coach boards the ferry to Bornholm Island, where Nicolai Nørregaard and the Kadeau team will spend the entire day showing us the island that gave birth to their cuisine. After a long lunch and a few surprises along the way, we return to Vyn for a light supper at the Wine Bar and one final peaceful night in Österlen.

After another beautiful Swedish breakfast, we head back across the bridge to Copenhagen for the grand finale.

At four o’clock in the afternoon, the giant door of Alchemist will open exclusively for us.

From there, everything is in the hands of Rasmus, Lykke, and the Alchemist team.

If history is any indication, we’ll emerge well after midnight with full hearts, unforgettable memories, and one more reunion already on our minds.

I’ve read enough. Take me to registration!

Vyn, by Daniel Berlin

Vyn, by Daniel Berlin

My love for Daniel Berlin was love at first sight, or first bite, about eight years ago. Two years later, he broke my heart by closing his restaurant indefinitely. So when Daniel, whom I consider one of the greatest cooks in the world, returned with Vyn, his sanctuary by the sea, my heart filled with joy.

Our friendship has grown deeper with every visit. This time, I asked him to leave his extraordinary tasting menu aside and cook the kind of family-style meal he would make for his closest friends and family. I had him at hello.

Kadeau Bornholm

Kadeau Bornholm

I remember telling Nicolai years ago that a visit to Copenhagen without Kadeau simply did not count. For a long time, it felt to me like they were serving three-star food in a two-star restaurant, so I was thrilled when that third star finally arrived.

Bornholm is where Kadeau’s story begins, and where Nicolai’s cooking makes the most sense. For Una Gran Fiesta II, the entire restaurant will be ours for a long, off-menu lunch shaped by the island and created especially for us.

Alchemist

Alchemist

We were among the very first guests to dine at Alchemist, even before it officially opened in 2018. The last time I visited, they told me it was my twelfth meal there, and I still arrive as excited as I was the first time.

Rasmus Munk has created something far beyond a restaurant. Every visit challenges, surprises, and moves me in a different way. For Una Gran Fiesta II, Alchemist will be entirely ours, with Rasmus preparing a special evening created just for our reunion.
