Lunch at Vyn Food & Wine Bar After the drive from Copenhagen, we arrived at Vyn hungry. Daniel Berlin had just the thing for us: Swedish meatballs. This was lunch in the Food & Wine Bar, before our family dinner that evening. One familiar dish, given the attention of a chef whose restaurant holds two Michelin stars. A very good way to settle into our Swedish home.

Daniel Berlin’s Swedish meatballs Generously sized meatballs with deeply browned surfaces, served with mashed potatoes, gravy, lingonberries and thin cucumber slices with dill. The potatoes and gravy bring richness; the berries and cucumber provide a sharper counterpoint. Daniel’s version kept the familiar shape of Swedish home cooking, with the meatballs firmly at the centre.
